India's Predicted XI for 2nd T20I Against South Africa: All-Rounder May Be Dropped; New Player Set for Debut

India started the four-match T20I series against South Africa with a big win in the first game on Friday in Durban. Batting first, India scored an impressive 202/8 in 20 overs, thanks to a powerful century by Sanju Samson. Later, the Indian bowlers dismissed South Africa for 141, securing a 61-run victory and taking a 1-0 lead in the series. The two teams will now meet again for the second T20I at St George's Park in Gqeberha on Sunday.

Samson's impressive 107 off 50 balls led India to a strong 61-run win in the first match. However, the lack of runs from other main batters is still a concern for the team, as they need to avoid relying too much on Samson’s form.

The repeated struggles of opener Abhishek Sharma, who has missed several chances to perform, would also be a worry for the team management.

Tilak Varma made a promising start with a quick 33 off 18 balls in the first match, but he’ll need to turn these brief performances into bigger scores. Varma hasn't been in the spotlight since his last game against Afghanistan in January, and with tough competition for middle-order spots, he’ll be keen to secure his place in the team.

Captain Suryakumar Yadav also got a start but couldn't stay long, while all-rounder Hardik Pandya didn’t perform as expected in the opener.

India’s bowlers were sharp in the first match, holding South Africa to just 141 in 17.5 overs. Varun Chakravarthy carried over his strong form from the Bangladesh series with an impressive three-wicket haul, while Ravi Bishnoi also shined, taking 3/28.

The two spinners effectively controlled South Africa's strong batting lineup on a fairly flat pitch in Durban.

India's pace pair, Arshdeep Singh and Avesh Khan, also made valuable contributions. With the entire bowling unit performing well, India will go into the second T20I with confidence, aiming to secure a 2-0 series lead.

KKR all-rounder Ramandeep Singh is expected to make his debut and may take Axar Patel’s spot in the lineup, as Axar bowled only one over in the last game.
